Are you ready to be adventurous? If so, there is no better place to “take a leap” than on our Adventure courses. Our Adventure program allows campers to go outside of their comfort zones and take healthy risks. There is something for everyone, from our youngest campers to our oldest ones. At SLDC, we have ziplines, rock walls, and Adventure elements that are suitable for every age. Our younger campers enjoy our Zig Zag Zip, our low ropes course, Tree Walk, and a rock wall that is age appropriate. As our campers get older, they will be able to zip across SLDC’s beautiful lake, or double zip through the woods. They will climb to new heights on our bigger climbing towers, and work their way through Sky Climb, our giant rope maze. We cannot forget our Warrior Course, where our campers experience a challenging obstacle course, and our Leap of Faith, where they step off a platform (harnessed and helmeted, of course) and jump to the ground 40 feet below, landing on their feet! Our Adventure team also engages our campers in numerous team building activities, where they learn to work together and rely on each other. 

At SLDC, safety is our number one priority. Prior to the start of each season, our Adventure elements are inspected by an independent company and repairs, upgrades and replacements are made to our elements and equipment based on those recommendations. Our enthusiastic Adventure staff also undergo rigorous training to receive the appropriate certification to supervise our Adventure areas. Additionally, all participants are harnessed and helmeted to participate on our courses. 

It is safe to say that our Adventure areas are a favorite part of everyone’s camp schedule.
